Chicken Pasta Primavera
We love pasta in our home. I’m sure being married to an Italian has absolutely nothing to do with it at all. Because of our love for fresh pasta, I someday hope to own some special die casts for making my own shapes, like penne, and rigatoni. Until then, I buy imported organic dry pasta for dishes that call for something other than a long skinny noodle. Those I’ve got down pat. I really want to share my homemade pasta recipe with you guys, but I don’t have anywhere to attach my pasta maker in my kitchen. Which I affectionately call Lord Voldemort’s 8th Horcrux. As soon as I can figure out how…

30-Minute Monday- Skillet Mac-n-Cheese
I love melted, gooey cheese sauce. I love melted cheese sauce as much as I love bacon, and because I love both, I am not only going to share a quick and simple truly comforting Macaroni and Cheese recipe, but also my secret mac-n-cheese bacon topping recipe with you. I’ve thought long and hard and felt the world needed to be privileged with the knowledge of this amazing topping. You’ll never do boring, buttered breadcrumb topping again, nor will you ever make naked mac-n-cheese ever again. I’m taking Mac-n-Cheese to a WHOLE new level y’all. This recipe is so good, you’ll name your next child after me as a tribute. I’m somewhat ashamed…

Real Food Tex-Mex Pasta Bake
I had a tough time naming this dish. It looks like a Goulash, but not only is it not Hungarian, it’s also not a stew. My grandmother used to make something similar to this using elbow macaroni, a can of Campbell’sā¢ Tomato soup, and a can of Chicken Gumbo along with some ground beef. It’s tasty, but that old standby needed some new life breathed into it. Hence how this dish was born. I took one of my grandpa’s favorite dishes and I breathed new life into it. I finally decided on Tex-Mex because the dish has Southwestern, American and Mexican components to it. And to give this dish even more of an…

Easy Baked Penne with Italian Sausage
The Stud Muffin (TSM) is Italian. It’s not pronounced Eyetalian. It’s ITalian. I felt I needed to clear that up. I love when people say Eyetalian. Um, it’s not Eye-taly, it’s ITaly, but I digress. Being married to an Italian has its perks. One of them is that we eat a fair amount of pasta with cheese–melted cheese. I prefer to make it myself, but I don’t own any fancy pasta shape cutters so when we want penne, I buy a good organic brand. I admit I was a little apprehensive about posting this recipe because I’m using a jarred sauce. That’s a no-no in our household, but I’ve gotten requests for a…
