It’s almost the 4th of July.  That time of year when I have to diffuse Lavender and Peace and Calming and dose my dogs with benadryl so that they can survive the onslaught of non-stop fireworks for several days and nights.  It’s also the time of year that I enjoy spending time with my family at my Aunt and Uncle’s cabin in Wisconsin.  We all bring several dishes to share and the food is good, the company is great, the pool is cool and the lake is inviting.

I admit that I love family get togethers as much for the good food as for the time we spend laughing and talking and joking. I’d love to fly back home and spend time with my family this year, but that’s not in the budget. It got me to thinking how fun it would be to do a roundup of foods you could bring to a picnic, or BBQ or summer family get together. Some of my blogging friends agreed and so we’re all putting together a fantastic-food-filled round up. Just for you!

This round up will take you to a different blog for each component of the meal.  Don’t worry, I’ll include all the links.  You guys are going to love these recipes. Whether for a picnic, or a potluck or a cook out, we’ve got you covered from drinks to dessert and everything in between. Best of all, we’ve even got S’mores! Yeah, we couldn’t forget those.  It’s not a cookout or picnic without melted marshmallows, chocolate and graham crackers.

So, grab a checked tablecloth, your picnic basket, some reusable and sustainable silverware and toss everyone in the car.  It’s time for a picnic!!  Make sure you stop back and tell us which of our recipes you guys tried and enjoyed!
